Hello Grails users,<\/p>\n
We recently worked on a grails project which needed to upgrade<\/a> in terms of code<\/strong>\u00a0base\u00a0<\/strong>and tests<\/strong>. The basic idea was to get the app in working state after upgrading\u00a0the underlying powerful engine known as Grails<\/a>. But it was a serious business, as the app contained 654 files with 1,00,833 LOC (which includes tests and doesn’t includes JavaScript code).<\/p>\n It was quite a task to achieve as\u00a0most of the functionality was driven by Knockout.js<\/a> and GSPs.<\/p>\n So we’ll talk about the importance of tests and how they helped us to upgrade from legacy Grails 1.3.7 to Grails 2.4.4, and the\u00a0whole story is here at DZone<\/a>.
